Often described by his contemporaries as “An Artist’s Artist,” a man who finds beauty in many every day subjects: an abandoned building, a much used coffee table, an old squeaky gate, a crumbling stone wall…objects that reflect a way of life that is slipping from our grasp as we hurtle through the twenty-first century.
Skilled and competent in numerous mediums, this prolific artist preferred the beauty and spontaneity of watercolors – and taught this medium through workshops and structured classes He has created well over thirty limited edition lithographs, numerous book illustrations, and represented galleria from San Diego, CA to San Juan Island, WA. He was a past member of The Gold Coast Watercolor Society, The Westlake Village Art Guild, and past president of The Camarillo Art Center.
Mr. Ayers work will be on display and available for purchase at an open house on August 6th and 7th at the Camarillo Art Center. Hours will be from 1-4 PM daily.
