Reminder: Painting Demo this Saturday – Don’t Miss It!

Don’t forget, this Saturday at the Camarillo Art Center!

Artist Teng Shu-Ming will be giving a demonstration of her painting techniques on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Camarillo Art Center. The Center is located at 3150 E Ponderosa Road, Camarillo.

Shu-Ming, and American-Chinese Artist, has been a Cover & Featured Artist in Ventura Life & Styles Magazine and exhibited her work internationally.

She works with Sumi or Sumi-e inks and Chinese Watercolors on rice paper from a traditional foundation dating back thousands of years in China. Her observation of nature is often reflected in her art, along with her unique combination of modern colors into the traditional ink paintings. Elegance and grace are revealed through her personal and unique style, and her creative paintings are treasured by many collectors.

Annual Dinner Cancelation

It is with heavy hearts that the board of the Camarillo Art Center has to announce the cancelation of our annual dinner, Sunday, July 30th, due to low turn out. If you registered for the dinner, you may contact the Art Center directly for refund.

The next board meeting is Monday, August 7th at 6:30 pm at the Camarillo Art Center. President, Kelly Ornelaz, will be addressing this cancelation of the dinner and membership turnout at large at that meeting, as well as in a letter from the President to come.

All members are encouraged to attend monthly board meetings and get involved!
