The Fantastic Four – Coming to the Camarillo Art Center July 28!

The Camarillo Art Center will host a multi-media art exhibit featuring works by award winning artists Judy Klement, Pamela Salem, Dean DeWinter, and Jean Myers.  Works shown will include pastels, acrylic and oil paintings, watercolors, and mixed medium pieces.  The “Fantastic Four” Show will be on display on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 PM from July 28 through August 19 at 3150 Ponderosa Drivein Camarillo.  Receptions will be held on August 4 and August 11 from 1:30 to 3:30, giving the public an opportunity to meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments. Coming to the CAC June 2nd!

The Camarillo Art Center will host an exhibit by Ventura County artist Phillip Zubiate from June 2-24 at 3150 East Ponderosa Drive, Camarillo.  .805– 445-7061. www.camarilloartcenter.org.  The gallery is open Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M.  Free admission.  A reception and art demonstration will be held on June 10 from 1-4 P.M.  A member of the Color Pencil Society of America, Phillip uses wax-based colored pencils and a special heated surface to create beautiful photo-realistic drawings that have won awards.  Artist Statement: “My art has to convey artistic knowledge of the medium, I am always looking for different ways to enhanced my art, whether it be paper material, colored pencil brands or heating boards to bring out the subject’s vibrant color.” “I started to teach colored pencil art techniques using the portable Icarus board, I want to teach students who love to explore an amazing new tool to further their skills.” Examples of his work can be found on his website at www.philzubiate.com

New Public Show Coming to the CAC!

The public is invited to the Camarillo Art Center to view an open judged art show beginning with an artists’ reception on Sunday April 29 from 1-4 P.M.  Awards will be presented at 2:00.  The show will continue to be displayed on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 P.M. through May 27.  Admission is free.  3150 Ponderosa Drive in Camarillo.   For more information, please visit www.camarilloartcenter.org
